How do I know if my repair is small?

Our typical vehicle repair services include flat tyres, batteries that need a jump, and keys that are locked in the car. However, sometimes what seems like a quick fix might be something more. We aren’t a mobile mechanic with a full suite of tools, so we won’t be able to do bigger fixes for you through our roadside assistance service. The battery might be completely dead or the tyre unable to be repaired without a spare available.

What happens in those situations?

Simple; we’ll tow the vehicle for you. That’s one of the benefits of calling your towing company for roadside assistance. If the vehicle isn’t able to be fixed on the spot for whatever reason, we’ll be able to get it towed immediately instead of you having to wait for a truck to come to you. This can save you a lot of time waiting, especially if your breakdown happened far outside of town!

How does lockout service work? Do you have a locksmith?

While we aren’t locksmiths by trade, we do have several tools to help us get into most types of cars. For more advanced locks like electronic-only locks, we’ll typically work alongside your insurance company to make sure that we’re able to get into the vehicle so that you can drive it away.

Is your roadside assistance service always available?

Yes, we have 24/7 roadside assistance service that is always available any time of the day or night. Simply give us a call and we’ll send a tow truck out there equipped with many tools to help you get back on the road. We can also store vehicles until your insurance company makes a decision on whether the vehicle should be repaired or if you should get a payout for it.

And in the case that the repair is too complicated for us, we’ll can tow your vehicle wherever you’d like in Southland, whether that be your home or the vehicle repair shop of your choice.

How does towing work with insurance?

For the most part, insurance policies cover vehicle towing. And while an insurer may recommend to have towing done by a specific company, it’s ultimately your choice who you want to use for towing. If you think we’re a good choice for you, call us and we’ll guide you through the process.

This includes not only commuting vehicles, but farming vehicles as well. You don’t have to do anything like procure a trailer to get your vehicle ready for towing either; we’ll pick it up onsite and have a truck specifically designed for transporting larger vehicles.
